TelstraClear's Easypay (Direct Debit) is the safe and easy way to pay your TelstraClear account. With TelstraClear Easypay your TelstraClear account is paid automatically from your bank account every month.

To setup your Easypay simply:

  1. Download and print out the direct debit form or credit card form. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can get from here.Read the terms and conditions. Fill out the form sign it.

  2. Return by Freepost to:

How TelstraClear Easypay works...

  1. Your TelstraClear Statement advises you of the time frame you have to check or query your TelstraClear account. From the time you receive your TelstraClear account, you'll have sufficient time to check or query anything you're not sure about.

  2. The correct amount is paid automatically from your bank account. Each month your bill is automatically paid on time, with no effort required by you.

What happens when I return this form?
This form gives your bank the authority to pay your TelstraClear account from your bank account each month.

Does my bank allow me to pay by Easypay?
All major banks in New Zealand offer this service.

When do I stop paying by cash or cheque?
The start date for your TelstraClear Easypay payments will appear on your TelstraClear account. Until then, please continue to pay your account by cash or cheque.

What if my TelstraClear account is wrong or I want to reduce the amount to come out of my account?
A. Simply contact TelstraClear before the date advised on your TelstraClear account and it will be corrected.

What if I want to stop paying using TelstraClear Easypay?
You can cancel your TelstraClear Easypay payments any time you like. Just notify your bank or TelstraClear Customer Services in writing at the address below.

Terms and Conditions

Conditions of this authority to accept direct debits

  1. The Initiator:
    1. Has agreed to give advance notice of the net amount of each Direct Debit and the due date of the debiting at least 10 calendar days before (but not more than 2 calendar months) the date when the Direct Debit will be initiated. This advance notice must be provided either:
      1. in writing; or
      2. by electronic mail where the Customer has provided prior written consent to the Initiator.
        The advance notice will include the following message:-"This will be direct debited from your bank account or credit card on (initiating date)".
    2. May, upon the relationship which gave rise to this Authority being terminated, give notice to the Bank or Credit Card Company that no further Direct Debits are to be initiated under the Authority. Upon receipt of such notice the Bank or Credit Card Company may terminate this Authority as to future payments by notice in writing to me/us.

  2. The Customer may:-
    1. At any time, terminate this Authority as to future payments by giving written notice of termination to the Bank or Credit Card Company and to the Initiator.
    2. Stop payment of any Direct Debit to be initiated under this authority by the Initiator by giving written notice to the Bank or Credit Card Company prior to the Direct Debit being paid by the Bank or the Credit Card Company.

  3. The Customer acknowledges that:-
    1. This authority will remain in full force and effect in respect of all Direct Debits passed to my/our account in good faith notwithstanding my/our death, bankruptcy or other revocation of this authority until actual notice of such event is received by the Bank or Credit Card Company.
    2. In any event this authority is subject to any arrangement now or hereafter existing between me/us and the Bank or Credit Card Company in relation to my/our account.
    3. Any dispute as to the correctness or validity of an amount debited to my/our account shall not be the concern of the Bank or Credit Card Company except in so far as the Direct Debit has not been paid in accordance with this authority. Any other disputes lies between me/us and the Initiator.
    4. Where the Bank or Credit Card Company has used reasonable care and skill in acting in accordance with this authority, the Bank or Credit Card Company accepts no responsibility or liability in respect of:
      - the accuracy of information about Direct Debits on Bank or Credit Card Company statements
      - any variations between notices given by the Initiator and the amounts of Direct Debits.
    5. The Bank or Credit Card Company is not responsible for, or under any liability in respect of the Initiator's failure to give written advance notice correctly nor for the non-receipt or late receipt of notice by me/us for any reason whatsoever. In any such situation the dispute lies between me/us and the Initiator.

  4. The Bank or Credit Card Company may:-
    1. In its absolute discretion conclusively determine the order of priority payment by it of any monies pursuant to this or any other authority, cheque or draft properly executed by me/us and given to or drawn on the Bank or Credit Card Company.
    2. At any time terminate this authority as to future payments by notice in writing to me/us.
    3. Charge its current fees for this service in force from time-to-time.
